Bryan Gillette has 25 years’ experience in Human Resources and Leadership Development with executive and senior-level responsibilities in small and large companies. Prior to starting his own consulting practice, he was on the Executive Committee as the Vice President of Human Resources & Payroll for a mid-size, global-technology company. In addition to running HR and Payroll, he has extensive experience in Leadership Development, Organizational Change, HR Communications and Mergers & Acquisitions.
His experience includes coaching all levels of an organization on a variety of issues such as leadership effectiveness, change management, and communications. He takes a pragmatic approach and brings firsthand experience managing teams of 2 to 270 people and multi-million dollar projects. Although he is a former company executive, Bryan is known to roll up his sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Communications is one of Bryan's strengths. He has managed HR Communication for several large high-tech organizations and often consults to executives about how to increase employee engagement through effective communication strategies. While managing HR Communications, he oversaw 40 acquisitions where he conducted due diligence and integrations on deals ranging from multi-million to multi-billion dollars. Bryan excels at understanding the goals of both companies to effectively bring the organizations together during such a change. He has also managed change on many other large projects including global systems implementations. Bryan has broad industry experience including Technology (hardware software), Financial Services, Medical Devices, Automobile Manufacturing, and Engineering Services. He holds an MBA from Cal State University and two Bachelors' degrees from University of California, Davis in Organizational Behavior and Communications. He is certified as a 360 Degree Assessment Coach.
He is the President/Founder of Bridge of Opportunity (bridgeofopportunity.org), a non-profit dedicated to providing scholarships to foster kids, and was a founding Board member and Co-Chair of i-GATE, a non-profit incubator for technology companies. In his free time he is often training for either an ultra marathon (50 & 100 miles) or ultra cycling events.
