Susan Nelson is a Sr. Human Resources Consultant who specializes in business partnering with a focus on talent and change management. With over 15 years of experience advising global, San Francisco Bay Area technology organizations and leaders, Susan has extensive experience in guiding management during times of rapid growth and change at mid-to-large size companies such as C-Cube Microsystems, LSI Logic, Portal Software, Brocade, and NetApp. In addition, Susan also has worked with small, venture-backed firms in addressing their unique needs and challenges.
Susan fluidly moves between playing a strategic, advisory role and implementation. She is able to quickly assess an organization’s most critical needs and will meet the business where they are, implementing practical and lasting solutions. Susan works collaboratively with clients and colleagues to strategize and execute global and enterprise-wide initiatives, ranging from talent reviews to organizational restructuring & transformation to M&A planning and integration. She easily spans the entire leadership spectrum, building relationships and credibility quickly, in all major disciplines (Engineering to Sales/Marketing to G&A).
Susan holds her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University and her MBA from Santa Clara University. She is also a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and is certified as a Sr. Professional in HR (SPHR).
Susan lives with her husband and daughter in San Jose and enjoys baking and exercising/hiking outdoors.
