Drawing on 25 years in communications, Ed Kamrin helps organizations create positive change for their stakeholders, including employees, clients, partners, and communities. He focuses on employee experience, sustainability and community engagement - areas where thoughtfully crafted messages, stories, and campaigns can deepen understanding and inspire action.
His key practice areas are strategy, writing and editing, and advising leaders. He also brings deep experience with complex change initiatives and sustainability/climate reporting. During his career, Ed has worked with companies in the tech, biotech, healthcare, professional services, and renewable energy sectors. Before founding his consulting practice in 2020, Ed spent eight years with McKesson Corporation, where he led communications for employee community engagement, sustainability and ESG. Earlier, he worked with UnitedHealthcare and several early-stage companies, focusing on marketing and business development. He is a certified Strategic Communication Management Professional through the Global Communication Certification Council. A long-time volunteer leader with the International Association of Business Communicators, Ed currently serves as Secretary-Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee. He is Chair of the Board of Directors of the Scandinavian School and Cultural Center of San Francisco and volunteers for his alma mater, Swarthmore College. Originally from Michigan, Ed lived and worked in Europe for eight years before settling in San Francisco. Along the way, he became fluent in Finnish and conversational in Swedish and continues to dabble in other languages. Outside of work, he spends as much time as possible outdoors, ideally running, hiking, or enjoying live music.
